God Will See You Now...

That is one of the many, many great things about God, He is ready to get to know you, to commune with your spirit right now. We don’t have to dream about asking God a few questions, He will speak to you through His Spirit if you are willing to get to know Him. It’s a pretty incredible thought, the God of the universe wants to know us like a good father wants to know his children.

I created the “Interview With Jesus” movies, “The Lord’s Prayer” movie, the Psalm 23 movie, and the “God Is Light” movie available at this site because I want people to know the heart of God. There are a lot of Web sites and things floating in and out of our e-mail boxes relating to God today. But, when you compare those materials to the things He has really said and done, they pale in comparison. The truth is, God’s own words and deeds are much more poetic and beautiful than anything humans can contrive. That is not to say we can’t write wonderful things about God, many have and do; the sad truth is we just don’t see a whole lot of this on an everyday basis.

The original “Interview With God” is a popular poem being sent to millions of inboxes around the world today. I don’t have a movie that features this generic poem on my site. I had a vision to take this inspirational movie concept and pour some richness into the mix. What could be better than to devour good things from God above? In order to do this, I had to go to the source, God’s Holy Word, the Bible. There, throughout the entire book is Jesus Christ, the richness and fullness of God’s unfathomable love!

God’s words from Scripture viewed with the beautiful photographs of His masterful creation can really bless people. But, in this case, it doesn’t have to be a moment of fading glory. God can reach down to a willing soul and draw them near. It is not a movie on the Internet that accomplishes this, it is God’s Word and Spirit that work together with you as His disciple.

There is a very famous interview with God recorded in the book of John chapter 3. In this real interview Jesus tells the interviewer, Nicodemus, that whoever wants to see the Kingdom of God, to be a member of God’s eternal family, must be “born again,” born of the Spirit. Jesus went on to say, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

I’m glad the historic record of this original interview still exists today! To know God loved us enough to sacrifice of Himself through His Son, Jesus, on a criminal’s shameful cross brings me great peace and gives me hope. The cross was a place where criminals, sinners, were often put to death for terrible crimes. Jesus allowed Himself to be nailed to one like a criminal--for me and you. This is the ultimate expression of love. This act shows how far God was willing to go just to get people like us near to Him.
